zesty zapp hummus

INGREDIENTS: * TEA TREE PRODUCTS

  • 1 can (15 ounces) chickpeas (garbanzo beans), drained and rinsed

  • 1/4 cup tahini

  • 2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice

  • 2 cloves minced garlic

  • 2 tsp ZAPP spice blend *

  • 2 tbsp BUTTER OLIVE OIL, plus more for serving

  • SALT, to taste

  • Water (as needed for consistency)

  • Optional garnishes: chopped fresh parsley, SMOKED PAPRIKA, drizzle of olive oil *

DIRECTIONS:

In a food processor, combine the drained chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, minced garlic, and ZAPP spice blend.

  1. Process the mixture until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed to ensure all ingredients are well incorporated. If the hummus is too thick, you can add water, a tablespoon at a time, until you reach your desired consistency.

  2. With the food processor running, drizzle in the BUTTER OLIVE OIL and continue to process until the hummus is silky smooth.

  3. Taste the hummus and adjust the seasoning with SALT, if needed, and additional ZAPP blend for more flavor.

  4. Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl and create a swirl pattern on the surface with the back of a spoon. Drizzle with BUTTER OLIVE OIL and sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley and a pinch of PAPRIKA for garnish, if desired.

  5. Serve the hummus with your favorite accompaniments such as pita bread, crackers, sliced vegetables, or as a spread on sandwiches and wraps.
